How This Builder Works
- Paste your destination URL into the builder. Any existing UTM tags are removed automatically so the link does not get double-tagged.
- Choose a channel preset, or fill in the fields manually, to set your source and medium. The presets are there for speed, but your team can still edit every field.
- Name your campaign clearly, then add term or content values where useful. These can help you separate audience segments, message variants, CTAs or placements.
- Copy the finished tracking link for immediate use, or save it to your campaign list.
- When your links are ready, export the full campaign list to CSV and use it in your CRM, reporting sheet or campaign documentation.
How to Use UTM Links
UTM parameters are small tags added to the end of a link so your analytics can identify where a visitor came from. When a prospect clicks a tracked link from a LinkedIn DM, email signature, newsletter, event page or webinar follow-up, the source, medium and campaign values can be passed into your analytics and reporting setup.
For B2B sales teams running multi-channel outreach, consistent UTMs make it easier to see which channels, campaigns and messages are creating engagement. They will not solve attribution on their own, but they give your team cleaner data to work from.
- Be consistent
Use lowercase values and hyphens.Cold-Emailandcold-emailmay appear as separate lines in reports. - Use source and medium correctly
Source is the platform, such aslinkedinoremail. Medium is the channel type, such asoutboundorqr. - Name campaigns by intent
Avoid vague names likejuly. Use names likeq3-outbound-saasso the purpose is clear later. - Use
utm_contentfor variants
Track message variants, CTAs or placements, such asopener-v1,opener-v2orfooter-cta. - Keep one source of truth
Save tracked links in one place so the team can reuse the same naming conventions.
